Israel invasion of Southern Lebanon before the burial of Nasrullah

Prior to the funeral of Hazebollah's slain head, Hassan Nasrullah, the Israel army said it attacked rocket launchers in southern Lebanon on Sunday, which he said threatened civilians.


A military statement said that "a short time ago, the Israel defense firce carried out an accurate attack on Lebanese territory on a military site with intelligence-based rocket launchers and weapons where Hezbollah's activity was identified. In addition, several rocket launchers were targeted in southern Lebanon that were a threat to Israeli citizens."


Lebanese state media reports that Israeli attacks took place about 10 km from the southern border when mourners gathered for a large-scale funeral in Beirut.


"The enemy planes carried out two attacks in the Tire District, targeting the area between Qalila and Al-Samaia," the official national news agency said.
